OUR SERVICE AREA IN EGYPT

Surveying and Contracting for Projects in Cairo and New Cairo

Cairo combines dense older districts with new cities growing eastward, so work ranges from surveying a building on a narrow street to setting out a large project in New Cairo or the New Administrative Capital. We are based in Alexandria and agree the visit and team with each client according to scope.

What we most often do here

  • Surveys of existing buildings in dense areas
  • Setting out axes and levels in new-city projects
  • Quantity take-off and review of contractor work
  • Contracting and finishing according to project scope

Technical note

Cairo lies in UTM zone 36N. Agree the coordinate system used on the drawings from the start, because some authorities and older projects work on the Egyptian grid.

How we work on projects outside Alexandria

  1. You send the location, the type of work and any drawings or documents you have.
  2. We define the scope, deliverables and number of site visits before travelling.
  3. The written quote covers site work, office work and travel arrangements.
  4. We deliver the files digitally and go through them with you after delivery.

Services available in Cairo

  • Certified land survey: A certified survey measures a plot or building on site and produces a drawing of its boundaries, lengths, area and coordinates, in a form accepted by the body you will submit it to: the real-estate registry, the district office, the permit authority, or a court in a boundary dispute.
  • Topographic surveying: A topographic survey turns a site into a map of the ground shape, its levels and everything visible on it, such as roads, buildings and utilities.
  • Setting out: A small setting-out error can put a column in the wrong place and lead to demolition and rework.
  • Grid levelling: Grid levelling measures ground levels on a regular grid, showing where the land is high or low and how much cut or fill is needed to reach the design level.
  • Quantity surveying: A quantity take-off answers a simple question: what will be built, and how much of it? A clear table helps owners compare bids, helps contractors price and track work, and bases payment reviews on measurement instead of estimates..
  • As-built surveys: Many existing buildings have no drawings, or drawings that differ from what was built.
  • Land and boundary surveys: Before buying, dividing or building on land, you need to know its corners and real area on the ground.

FAQ

Do you work in Cairo even though you are based in Alexandria?

Yes. We accept Cairo projects after confirming the type of work, location and duration, and set out travel arrangements in the quote.

Do you work in the New Capital and New Cairo?

We can assess the project. Send the location, drawings and type of work so we can confirm the requirements of the body supervising the site.
